Although grooms-to-be would not be the least bit pleased, Britain's Prince Charles has the legal right to sleep with Welsh virgins on their wedding night if he so desired. The prince became a Welsh landowner when he purchased the 192-acre Llwynywormwood Estate, in the village of Myddfai, Carmarthenshire, last year, and, under an ancient law, he is entitled to sleep with local virgins before the groom - unless their new husbands hand over 65 cents.

A woman attempted to ram her car into the vacation home of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper overnight to get a meeting, according to sources. The unidentified driver was stopped before reaching prime minister's second home in Gatineau Park outside Ottawa. She had crashed into the security cordon before being nabbed by police.

A hamster escaped from his owner and traveled from Devon to Scotland. Fudge, a pet hamster of Kingsly Moyle, was placed securely in a safety box and taken on vacation with his owner. However the wily pet escaped as Moyle was about to return to his native town in Kingsteignton.

A new study says the French work the least hours of any country on Earth, while South Koreans might want to ask for more vacation time, coming in at number 1. While South Koreans work an average of 2,317 hours a year, Americans work their fair share at 1,957.

A man arrested by two policemen in Croatia managed to escape his arrest after having offered to buy them coffee at a café on the Croatian island of Korcula. The 31-year-old man, who is wanted for almost 100 different offenses, persuaded the two policemen who had arrested him for one last cup of coffee.
