She is suing the undergarment giant, saying in a TV interview that the injury caused her "excruciating pain. "In an appearance on NBC's "Today" show, Macrida Patterson, 52, a traffic cop in LA, said the metal clip on the underwear cut her cornea.

Ten Sears Canada stores opened in Ontario Monday, possibly in violation of the Retail Business Holidays Act since it was Victoria Day. The company had been forewarned by the provincial government it might face sanctions, but Sears nevertheless went ahead and opened although it maintained it did not went against the law because the openings were private-by-invitation only affairs and were closed to the public.

Two teenagers were suspended from school for two days, for wearing homemade shirts with condom packs attached to them. The shirts also had the words "Safe Sex or No Sex" brandished at the front. The students, 14-year old Cheyenne Bird, and 15-year old Victoria Shoemaker, of the Lewis and Clark Junior High School, went to school Monday wearing the shirts, which they said were meant to protest the school's pro-abstinence curriculum.

A cracked jug started with a bid of $390 at an auction, fetched $430,000, but could eventually command a whopping tag price of $9. 77 million after experts deemed it was part of the rarest treasures of medieval Egypt. . According to staff at the Lawrence's auction house in Crewkerne, Somerset, the enameled jug, decorated with mythological animals and birds, was initially thought to be from 19th century France, hence the low guide price for the bid.

A 16-year-old Aussie teenager who threw up a wild house party while his parents were out of town, may face a $17,850 bill after police officers tried to disperse revelers by calling in a helicopter Monday. The teenage boy hosted a party on Saturday night which turned out of control when hundreds of teenagers arrived in to his house in Narre Warren, Melbourne suburb to party.
