It's hard to teach someone drive, especially if the student runs the car over the instructor after drinking. A 51-year-old man from Naples, Florida was hit by the same woman he was giving a driving lesson when she reportedly put the car in reverse and hit him, accidentally running over his leg. Victoria Hosner, 30 now faces DUI charges after running over driving instructor David Tanner. She also caused an estimated $6,000 in damage. The Naples (Fla. ) Daily News reports Hosner, who blew a blood alcohol level of . 146, well above the state's . 08 legal limit, was released from jail on $4,250 bail.

Police are searching for a telephone prankster who is calling up child welfare officials claiming to be soccer star David Beckham and offering to work with under-privileged children. The pseudo Beckham has also promised to take the youngsters to watch the 32-year-old former England captain's new team, the LA Galaxy. After receiving more than a dozen calls, the excited LA County and Sheriff's Department offices contacted Beckham's representatives, who found out that the soccer star did not make the calls.

A pastor at the Taft Free Will Baptist Church, who always keeps a gun and handcuffs in his fanny pack, got a chance to use them when he nabbed a man who allegedly stole a car from his church's parking lot. James Kilgore, a former Bakersfield police officer, says his whole congregation was stunned to find his a 1986 Ford Crown Victoria missing when they came back from a Bible study.

A three-year-old dachshund and a stray kitten have formed such a strong relationship some may wonder if they really belong to two different species. Lillie, the dog, not only hangs out and naps with Tahoe, the kitten, she also feeds him several times a day as if he was her own pup. The unusual relationship started at the home of Eunice Collins who found Tahoe few weeks ago hiding in the hood of her Chevrolet Tahoe; hence the name. Tahoe was so small that Collins thought it appropriate to keep in him in her bedroom so that he is not hurt by any of her other pets; two dogs and four cats.

Accepting the challenge of a friend to pot 108 holes in the game of golf, Beatrice High School golf coach Dick Stuart, middle school teacher Ben Essam and golf pro Joel Brueggemann made a record of sorts by playing 110 holes, a bit more than the original goal. When their friend Jim Edwards said it was impossible to play six rounds of golf in one day, the trio decided to start at 5:45 a. m. and finished two more than six rounds of 18 holes at 9:15 p. m. The first few holes were literally played in the morning fog.
