An online gambling Web Site has reportedly started accepting bets on global warming from its viewers on the fate of future cities. The Web Site betsus. com requires readers to register online and bet on various issues including whether global warming can flood some of the East Coast's top vacation spots. According to AP reports, many readers have already voted that Virginia's Cape Henry will be under water by 2015 and also Cape Hatteras would be flooded by the same date. Many of the betters also believe that Manhattan will be submerged before New Year's Eve 2011.

A Russian immigrant living in Virginia was beaten to death with a rock on Thursday when he declined to buy some religious CDs offered to him. The incident took place at a highway rest stop in New Jersey when Brian K. White, approached Michail Makerenko,77, as he was standing by his car. According to reports, White wanted to sell a religious CD to him but Makerenko declined to buy it saying he doesn't need any. This apparently annoyed White, who picked up a rock and struck Makerenko in his head causing fatal blows. White then fled in his white Camaro but was followed by a witness and caught after a 90 mile chase by police.

In the first incident of its kind, burglars who robbed the Guyandotte United Methodist Church in West Virginia changed their minds and returned the loot money the very next night of stealing it. According to church treasurer Rocky Frazier, burglars first broke into the church on Monday night and stole about $5,000 worth of sound and office equipment. However, the looted stuff, along with cash was returned the very next night.

President George Bush was not afraid to admit that he is not very savvy when it comes to Valentine's Day. First Lady Laura Bush agreed. While she has never spent a February 14 in the White House without a beautiful bouquet of flowers or a romantic dinner that night, she said the romance is not always the workings of her husband.

Accompanied by his dog, a 44-year-old man has embarked upon a journey that has included ridinghis lawn mower for the last two years. Paul Woods travels by day and sleeps in a tent at night and he plans to reach Virginia from Alaska at the speed of 15 mph. The Herald Journal of Logan quotes him as saying. "You've got to be pretty strange and pretty weird to be driving a tractor mower across country. " Recently he took a break in the parking lot of Beaver Mountain ski resort, 107 miles north of Salt Lake City, near the Idaho border.
