Every criminal file in the New South Wales Supreme Court is being reviewed after an administrative blunder has resulted in a fresh appeal for murderers. Two of the murderers of Sydney woman, Ms Janine Balding have been granted special leave to take their case to the High Court due to a missing staple from their file. This effectively quashes the pair's unsuccessful appeal in 1992.

A 42-year-old man from New South Wales, Australia lost a part of his finger in a bar brawl and walked out of the pub and down the street unaware of it. He did not realize that something was amiss until he saw blood dripping down. Police Inspector Mark Kellert told The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper, "He was out on the street and realized there was blood on his hand, noticed his finger was missing, and went to hospital. "

Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla paid a surprise visit to a sweetshop to stock up on jelly babies during their tour of Northern Ireland on Wednesday. The prince and the Duchess of Cornwall - who are enjoying a two-day tour of the region - picked up a bag of the sugary delights and a packet of throat lozenges, much to the surprise of Ulster shopkeeper Gerald Monaghan. Gerald told the Belfast Telegraph: "I asked which sweet was his favorite and he picked 'Throat and Chest' because he said he had a sore throat.

Britain's Prince Charles plans to open an eco-friendly bed and breakfast in Wales. The prince and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, have applied for planning permission to open up Llwynywormwood, their Carmarthenshire farmhouse, to paying guests. The couples' idyllic three-bedroom home - which is surrounded by 192-acres of countryside - has already been dubbed "C and C's B and B" after becoming a favorite retreat for Charles and Camilla.

An 81-year-old woman in the Welsh town of Abergavenny has probably become the oldest woman ever to be sentenced to eight months in prison for threatening to kill her neighbor's dog and also using witch craft on them. While handling the sentence to Dorothy Evans for abusive behavior toward neighbors, Judge Roderick Denyer said Tuesday that he would have given her a longer sentence but did not do so because of her advanced age.
