The Roman Catholic Church has expressed a serious need for Polish priests to serve the hundreds of thousands of Poles who have been flocking to Britain since Poland gained admission into the European Union. Monsignor Tadeusz Kukla, the Vicar Delegate for Poles in England and Wales, told Reuters, "There are over 500,000 Poles working in Britain. We encourage them to integrate but we want to preserve their religion and culture. Once they lose their identity, they lose everything. "

A novelty company in Snodnonia, north Wales has been awarded a $38,000 Millennium Award to convert sheep droppings into greeting cards and gift items. The BBC reports that Creative Paper Wales was awarded the contract for its Sheep Poo Paper project. The company will collect droppings from surrounding mountains in the region then sterilize it using pressure cookers and recover the washed and undigested fibers.

Whale Vomit Found Along North Wales Coastline Could Trigger "Gold Rush"

Local officials in North Wales fear of an impending gold rush after beachcombers found precious ambergris or "whale vomit" along its coastline. The ambergris, also known as grey amber, is considered by many as floating gold because of its high value. Top perfume makers pay as much as $65 a gram for ambergris - a substance also deemed by Chinese to be an aphrodisiac.

" The award is handed out to companies and public figures who make the most derogatory public statements about women, and the 2006 Celebrity Ernie was bestowed upon Cruise for a comment he made about his girlfriend, Katie Holmes, when she was pregnant. Cruise, who was dropped by Paramount Pictures for his recent public behavior, said during the pregnancy, "I've got Katie tucked away so no one will get to us until my child is born. "
