Experts in Hawaii are beginning work to identify the remains of a World War II airman found frozen atop a California mountain last week. The airman's remains are being investigated at a laboratory that serves as part of the military's Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command in Hawaii. The lab identifies the remains of lost soldiers.

It was deemed as a conversation with U. S. troops, but critics are now calling it a PR move, after it is revealed the questions President Bush asked on a teleconference call Thursday were choreographed to coincide with his goals for the war, and Saturday's vote on a new Iraqi constitution. Allison Barber, deputy assistant defense secretary said, coaching the soldiers before Bush arrived, "This is an important time. The president is looking forward to having just a conversation with you. "

The Smurf village is blown to smithereens with Smurfette left for dead. Also suffering is Baby Smurf orphaned and left crying alone as the Smurf's once happy village is carpet-bombed by warplanes. True this horrific scene and imagery is not normally associated with the lovable blue-skinned cartoon characters. They are, however, images being shown as part of a new UNICEF ad-campaign on Belgian television.

Never judge a book by its cover. . . so goes the saying. So Matthew Brooke, 26, of Madison, Wisconsin took the phrase literally and decided to smash a display case that contained a Revolutionary War era "Pennsylvania Evening Post" on the inside, because he wanted to read it. The crime was committed at the Wisconsin Historical Society on Thursday and stole the book which was published in April of 1777.

Smart Agent 86 has passed away after a battle with lymphoma. Don Adams who is best remembered for his role as Maxwell Smart on the 1960s hit TV show "Get Smart", was 82. Adams won three Emmy's for his role on the comedy, but later admitted in interviews he didn't like everything about the show.
