Southeastern Virginia firefighters have collected more than 1,300 movie DVDs in an effort to provide soldiers in Iraq some recreational relief. Chesapeake firefighter Mark Snyder organized the drive after his brother, an Army chaplain, exchanged an e-mail mentioning the idea of a morale boost amongst GI's fighting the War in Iraq.

German Defense Minister, Peter Struck, told the Deutsche Welle that "using [unemployed] civilians instead of soldiers would save money," when exercising war games. According to the report, military exercises can take up to 400 people, to act as civilians, enemies, and non-combatants.

Some Residents living on Hitler Road in Circleville, Ohio would like the street's name changed. The Pickaway County Hitlers were well-known farmers in Circleville and count three roads named after them, long before the Nazi dictator's name became synonymous with evil.
