Maryland lawmakers Reps. Wayne Gilchrest and Albert Wynn became the first incumbents to lose this primary season when voters elected rivals from within the same party on Tuesday. Rep. Gilchrest lost to Republican Senator Andy Harris in a five-way race in Maryland's 1st Congressional District. Rep. Albert Wynn was beaten by Democrat Donna Edwards in Maryland's 4th Congressional district.

The poll, which was conducted by UKTV Gold, concluded that the responses gathered reflected significant differences between the younger generation's view of history, and that of the older generation.

Citibank Funds Liberation War Documentary Of Bangladesh

Citibank NA Bangladesh has provided the partial funding for making of a non-commercial research-based documentary on the Bangladeshi nationalist movement and the subsequent war for independence. The documentary titled "1971" produced by film director Tanvir Mokammel will depict the historically significant national and international events of the war. Historical footages from home and abroad will also be used in the 120 minute documentary film.

Pakistan Mulls Lifting 40-Year Ban On Bollywood Films

The Pakistani government, through a recommendation from the Senate Standing Committee on Sports, Culture & Youth Affairs, is mulling ending a 40-year-old ban on the public screening of Indian-made feature films. "Bollywood" were banned in 1965 during the war between the two rivals. "We have devised a mechanism for allowing the import of Indian films for a period of one year, after which the arrangements can be reviewed," Committee Chair Sen. Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry told the Press Trust of India.

War Hero Douglas Bader's Prosthetic Leg Up for Auction

A prosthetic leg used by war hero Douglas Bader is being sold at an auction along with 42 pieces of his memorabilia. Phillip Knapper, from the auction house, said they expect the mementos belonging to the late war hero who became famous for continuing to fly for the RAF despite losing both legs in a plane crash to fetch over $200,000.
