Billionaire Warren Buffett's 2001 Lincoln Town Car garnered a $73,200 price tag during a charity auction held on eBay Inc.'s Web site.
The earnings of the sale will benefit Girls Inc., a nonprofit New York group that provides educational and recreational programs for girls ages 6 to 18 in high-risk areas.
According to eBay, the winning bid belonged to "Bill Zanker," who beat a $73,100 bid by "Maxcjb."
Buffett is renowned as an investor and is the chairman of holding company Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
Forbes magazine has pegged his net worth at $46 billion, trailing behind the richest man in America, Microsoft Corp.'s Chairman Bill Gates.
The Town Car is ulpholstered in light gold exterior and 14,000 miles on the odometer.
It will include the "THRIFTY" license plate with Buffett wearing a chauffeur's cap to accompany the winning bidder from the Omaha airport to pick up the car.
