A man's desire to get married quickly ended up in tragedy, after a bizarre sequence of events in which he thought he'd accidentally killed his fiancee. The groom-to-be, Ahmad Ashraf, unfortunately made good on his promise that he would do "something drastic" if his fiancee didn't agree to a quick marriage.
The couple had been scheduled to marry in December with parent's consent, but Ashraf was adamant that the wedding should be sooner.
In order to persuade his bride-to-be for quick marriage, Ashraf started firing air shots from a gun while standing outside his fiancée's house. The young woman was coming downstairs when a bullet bounced off a wall and hit her.
'She fell down screaming, "I have been shot,"' Ghulam Hussain, the policeman investigating the incident, told Reuters.
Believing that he had killed her, Ashraf "within seconds shot himself" and died. The girl is fine, Hussain said.
