A pharmacy worker in Brazil has got yet another reason to remember her wedding day. The 32-year-old woman luckily escaped a close range gunshot after she raised her hands and the bullet aimed at her head got detoured by the wedding ring in her finger.

According to local media reports, the woman was working in a pharmacy in Monte Alegre, in the north-eastern state of Sergpipe, when an armed robber approached her and fired a shot at her.

The woman, who is reportedly due to deliver a baby in a month, raised her hand to protect herself and fainted. The bullet got deflected by her ring thereby saving her life.

Two customers, who were present at the scene and were shot by the robber, however could not survive, according to the Press TV reports.
