A couple from Merseyside treated their guests to a cold reception after tying the knot in an igloo just at the outskirt of the Arctic Circle. Braving temperatures of minus 12C, Chris McQuade and Louise O'Mara exchange vows in Rovaniemi, Finland, witnessed by 17 family members as they tied the knot.

The sales manager of a Long Island banquet hall in New York offered to donate a kidney to one of his former customers, who was about to die of a polycystic kidney disease, a genetic disorder at play in his mother's, grandmother's and brother's deaths. Matt Fulgieri, a 42-year-old father of two young boys who lives in Astoria, Queens, was left with only weeks to live, when he received a successful kidney transplant from Rick Bellando, who had become a friend after booking Fulgieri's wedding.

A bride-to-be will tie her knot wearing a gown made by a couturier using toilet paper. The soon-to-be bride Jennifer Cannon and her future husband Doy Nichols of Lexington, Ky. plan to get hitched in a public restroom Wednesday. She will be wearing a one of a kind gown made from glue, tape and Charmin Ultra Strong and Ultra Soft toilet paper.

A man's life was spared during a store robbery as a bullet fired by the robber was deflected by his wedding ring. Donnie Register, was held at gunpoint by one of the two men robbing his store The Antique Market, said Sgt. Jeffery Scott. The robbers started by walking into the store asking to see a coin collection. As Register retrieved the collection, one of the men then pulled out a gun, pointed it at Register, and demanded money.
