In an effort to help boost poor CD sales of their latest studio offering, White Stripes lead singer Jack White has penned a new song to coincide with a new Coca-Cola campaign.

Following the footsteps of such celebrities as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Beyonce Knowles, White will try his best effort in selling the soft drink to the world.

"I've written a song and I wrote it really quickly," he tells British music site NME.com. "It's an interesting commercial that's been made."

Although the White Stripes have never endorsed a project with their music before, White, a self-proclaimed Coke-head, was given an offer who couldn't refuse.

"I certainly wouldn't want a song that I'd already written to be used on a commercial. That seems strange. [But] to be asked to write something particular along one theme of love in a worldwide form that I'm not really used to appealed to me," says White. The White Stripes are in England for the launch of the band's U.K. tour.
