For one Ohio couple who vowed 'Til' death do us part', the parting came before the death, leaving the wife with a casket and no body.
While married, Dixie Fisher and David Budd bought a gray casket a year ago from a friend who works at a metal salvage business. Fisher plans to be cremated, but the couple thought the casket would come in handy for Budd.
Fisher says, "I told my husband that, if nothing else, it was a good investment for the future.''
Now in the midst of a divorce, Fisher has put a $980 price tag on the casket and placed an ad in The Columbus Dispatch stating: "Marriage died before husband did.''
Budd hasn't refuted the sale claiming, "When it's my time to go, it's my time to go''- he reportedly never felt completely comfortably having the casket in the garage.
Fisher plans to use the profits for legal fees.
