A woman with a nervous cow will soon be headed to jail after police found the Polish lady growing marijuana. A woman in Lobez was arrested and charged with cultivating a narcotic after Polish police found she had been growing the drug to calm her "skittish and unruly" cow.

Steve Weinkseldaum was arrested on Tuesday as agents from the Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals were led to his home on a tip that he was boarding wild animals. According to an AP report, agent Roy Gross said, "It appeared to be like I was walking into a rain forest" in his home, because "he had alligators stacked up. He had plants growing. An Indiana man is crushed to death by his 14-foot pet python. The body of Patrick Von Allmen, 23, was found in a shed near Lanesville. A medical examiner concluded that asphyxiation caused by compression of the neck and chest killed Von Allmen.

An expert who examined the remains of the mysterious animal found dead over the weekend, believes it was just a wild dog. Resident from Litchfield, Sabattus, Greene, Turner, Lewiston and Auburn have complained for years about the mysterious animal with its chilling monstrous cries. Loren Coleman, a Portland author and cryptozoologist, said though he didn't know for sure what the animal was, but based on his examination of its remains, "I think this dead animal is a chow or chow-mix, a relatively small dog, that was feral, which is unusual for that area," he told the Sun Journal newspaper.
