Canadian Olympic Gold Medalist's Boyfriend Sentenced For Art Theft

A Quebec court sentenced Olympic biathlete Myriam Bedard's boyfriend to six months in jail on Friday. Nima Mazhari was sentenced after being convicted of possession of stolen property and art theft for stealing 20 paintings valued at $100,000 from elderly Montreal artist Ghitta Caiserman-Roth. Mazhari previously shared an art studio with Caiserman-Roth, but prosecutors claimed Mazhari stole the well-known artist's paintings after the relationship went bad and she canceled the lease on the studio.

Man Files Case Against Health Drink Maker Over Long-Lasting Erection

A man has filed a case against pharmaceutical company Novartis AG, over their health drink Boost Plus, to seek unspecified damages. He claims their vitamin-enriched beverage gave him a long-lasting erection that would not decrease and which caused him to be hospitalized. Christopher Woods, 29, says he bought the nutrition beverage at a drugstore on June 5, 2004.

Princess Diana's Car Fetches Nearly $12,000 At Manchester Auction

A car once used to chauffeur Britain's Princess Diana around raised just a little more than $12,000 at an auction on Thursday. The Jaguar Sovereign, a 1992 model in Westminster blue, went under the hammer along with 30 other vintage cars in the sale at Manchester's Simon Charles Auctioneers. The vehicle - made to order for Buckingham Palace - sold for a modest $12,065, well under the price expected by the auctioneers.

No Appointment, No Service After Hungry Bear Walks Into Medical Clinic

Patients at a medical clinic were shocked to see a new patient Friday morning, when a hungry, young black bear walked in through an automatic door; without disturbing anyone. The 125-pound male bear who was probably hungry from a winter of hibernation, wandered into the Presbyterian Medical Group gastroenterology laboratory, a relatively aloof building off one the main drags in Rio Rancho, north of Albuquerque in the early morning hours.

Nicole Matisse is 19 years old and by the time she is 20 she would have already completed her bachelor's. Although it is not uncommon to earn a graduation degree at that age, it is the time period - just one year - that Matisse would need to achieve it. After entering as a junior in the University of Michigan last fall with 19 credits in her hand, Matisse earned 27 more by winter and is set to take 34 more by summer.
