A Wisconsin woman confused the meaning of "taking a bite out of crime" when she turned her chops on the cops.
The 40-year-old woman bit off an officer's finger following a dispute over a cat, authorities say.
Lt. Robert Menzel went to her home Sunday afternoon after the woman had argued with a man about the animal and wanted him taken out of her home, reports Reuters

The officer tried to restrain the woman, and she became belligerent. She then bit off part of his right ring finger, Menzel said.
Surgeons at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital were not able to reattach the finger of the 10-year police force veteran, the lieutenant said.
