An 81-year-old Austrian woman, who spent four days being stuck in her bathtub, has been rescued. According to the rescue team, the woman got in the bathtub Thursday evening for a warm bath but wasn't able to carry herself out of it.

Revealing the incident to the public broadcaster ORF, firefighters said the retired woman, who presumably lives alone, lacked the strength to get out of the tub. Some neighbors heard the faint knocking from inside the woman's apartment and informed the authorities.

Firefighters said the woman was in surprisingly good condition despite having been immersed in water for nearly four days. According to AP, the woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of water exposure.
