A Burlington-based woman named Kymberly Smith has been charged with trying to get painkillers from a drug store by using her dog's name Zack. Smith, 38, changed her name to Zack Smith, in an attempt to obtain Hydrocodone, which is marketed under several names including Vicodin.
According to AP reports, the woman now faces more than two dozen charges related to her alleged repeated attempts to fraudulently obtain painkillers at a Farmington pharmacy.
Earlier in June, Smith was also arrested for the same crime for buying the painkiller.
According to Farmington police, Smith was a veterinary technician for several area veterinarians when she began using their ID number to call in prescriptions for herself her dog's name.
However, she surrendered to police Dec. 29 and was released after posting bond.
