Shimla, India (AHN)-- A woman in the state of Himachal Pradesh in India was critically injured when she took a bite out of a home-made explosive, which she thought was some kind of a candy.

The woman's mouth was ripped apart from the device. She was passing by a colony of Gypsies near the town of Poanta Sahib, 175km from Shimla. She began talking to someone and chewed on what she thought was a sweet.

The homemade explosive was used by traveling Gypsies to hunt wild animals. Three persons have been arrested in connection with this incident.
