An Illinois woman chose to go for early labor, two days before her due date, so that her "Chicago Bears" besotted husband could watch them play against the "New Orleans Saints" during Sunday's NFC Championship game. Colleen Pavelka, 28, said her decision to induce early labor was out of her fear of going into labor during the game, that might have resulted in Mark, her husband, missing out on the game.
"I thought, how could (Mark) miss this one opportunity that he might never have again in his life?," AP quoted the 28-year-old Pavelka as saying.
After checking up her doctor, Pavelka, opted to go for an early delivery rather than facing the flaccid face of her husband. At 10:45 p.m. Friday, the couple welcomed their second son, Mark Patrick Pavelka.
"If he wasn't born by Sunday and the Bears won, I would have named him Rex," after Bears quarterback Rex Grossman, joked Mark Pavelka, 28.
The game was won by the Chicago Bears 39-14.
