An Alaska woman living in a remote area who was found outside her cabin, trampled and bitten by her stallion, died of those injuries before medical help could reach her, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Sherill Yates-Lukenich, 48, died at home of her injuries Saturday before medical personnel could reach her. Her husband did not see the attack but heard noises and found her in the barn.
The stallion had reportedly bitten Yates-Lukenich in the past. In this incident, the horse apparently launched an attack on the woman while she was trying to place a bridle on the animal.
Her injuries included a broken neck, broken leg and bite marks. Her husband shot the horse after she died, according to reports.
