Leading British carrier British Airways has admitted to strapping a passenger on board their Delhi flight en route to London - even though she was dead. The man sitting next to the corpse, while on board the flight, was shocked that his first class row-mate was dead.
After passenger Paul Trinder, 54, complained to staff about the incident they told him to simply 'get over it'.
According to Ananova, Trinder complains, "The stewards just plonked down this body without saying a thing.
"I remember looking at this thin, sparrow-like woman and thinking she was very ill.
"She kept slipping under the seat belt and moving about with the motion of the plane. When I asked what was going on, I was shocked to hear she was dead."
The dead woman was given an upgrade from economy to first class soon after the plane took off from Delhi. In a statement, British airways apologized to their customers by saying that about 10 passengers die each year in flight and that while each situation is dealt with on an individual basis, safety is paramount.
As to why the dead passenger was upgraded to first class, the airline explains, "The body was kept in the first class cabin because that 'allowed the family members traveling with the deceased some level of privacy in their grief."
