Hong Kong, China - Armed police took a woman off a Cathay Pacific flight because she would not put her Gucci purse under the seat in front of her or in the overhead compartment. The rest of the plane applauded when the woman was finally escorted off the airplane.

The woman later apologized and she and was put on a later Cathay flight to Tokyo.

"There was no problem on the other flight," the Cathay spokeswoman said.
