Call it Goldilocks and the Three Bears in reverse: a woman came home to find a young bear eating oatmeal in her kitchen.

According to the Associated Press, local police say the bear apparently made its way through an open sliding glass door, broke a ceramic food container and helped himself.

West Vancouver police Sgt. Paul Skelton says, "It sounds like a nursery rhyme, doesn't it? At least we have a health-conscious bear on our hands."

When officers arrived at the scene, the bear would not leave. So they let him finish his meal, afterwhich he peacefully left the home.
