The police had an easy time finding a suspect involved in the theft of handguns from a Wasilla home when the woman whose home was burglarized found the suspect in her home's garage, wearing her sweatshirt.
Lisa Siepert, 38 on Sunday called the police to report that a stranger broke into her home and removed two handguns, food and alcohol. Upon searching the garage, she found an unknown man sitting inside her neighbor's vehicle.
AP reports that the police say the man was wearing Siepert's sweat shirt and was unresponsive. Police say the suspect, later identified as Gary Olson Jr., 20, of Anchorage, is thought to have entered the home, took the guns and broke the windshield of a pickup truck parked nearby to get inside it.
Police arrested Olson who then apparently went into the garage, broke windows out of the second vehicle and fell asleep inside. He was charged with burglary, two counts of theft involving a weapon and two counts of criminal mischief.
