Annie Bazoon-Singleton stumbles upon her wedding dress in the rubble left by Hurricane Katrina on the day of her first wedding anniversary. Like many others, the home of newlyweds Annie Bazoon-Singleton and Rivers Singleton were devastated by the disaster last year, which washed away much of their possessions.

Singleton was rummaging in the only house left standing on her street. She then spotted a fabric flower through the pulled-up flooring. The flower was fastened to the cocktail dress she wore to her wedding.

"You never quit looking," she told the AP. "Every time you walk outside, you are looking for something that might be yours or your neighbor's."

Bazoon-Singleton added she also found her high school pendant on the anniversary of her graduation.
