Corpus Christi Police say a woman has received a severed human finger accompanied by a threat from her ex-boyfriend in the mail. The letter which was sent by her former lover included a cryptic message saying that was his last opportunity to touch her.
Local Police Capt. John Houston said it wasn't clear which of the fingers it was, but it was neatly severed and washed before it was sealed in a mail dated Friday June 23. Threatened by the contents of the mail, the 32-year-old woman was forced to apply for a protective order from her boyfriend.
Corpus Christi Police withheld the names of the couple, admitting that the boy has not been located. Apparently the 34-year-old had moved away sometime during the Spring.
Police say there was family violence between the couple earlier this month, and the incident was reported to Corpus Christi Police station. He now faces a Class A misdemeanor charges from both incidents.
