A woman received two snake bites while shopping at a Lowe's Home Improvement store in Ocala, Florida.

Officials say the woman, 42, was looking at plants when she felt a "stinging feeling" in her leg. She looked down to find she was bitten.

Paramedics found she was bit twice by a one-foot-long dusky pygmy rattlesnake, one of the poisonous snakes native to the Sunshine State.

According to the Associated Press, employees killed the snake with a yard tool. Lowe's spokeswoman Karen Cobb said it was not clear where the snake came from. She said store employees scoured the area, but found no other snakes, and the company wasn't aware of anything similar happening in Lowe's before.
