A 56-year old woman was reunited with her family after ten years of searching. Madam Tung Ah Loi was 12 when she noticed that she had a different name than the one given to her on her birth certificate.

Loi said, "I had to get my Identification Card done, and when I saw my birth certificate I thought, why is the name different? But I did not dare to ask my parents. My friends said I might have been adopted."

According to Madam Tung's birth certificate, her name is Oh Yeoh Tee. She began to search for her biological parents, with her birth certificate on hand, for 10 years.

After a decade of searching, with the help of citizen organization, the Crime Library, Tung found her sister and discovered the mystery behind her adoption.

"My elder siblings were ill then, and there were some financial difficulties. My mother couldn't handle it by herself, so my aunt suggested she give my sister to them. My mother couldn't bear it, but there was nothing she could do," said Oh Ai Khim, Madam Tung's sister.
