Police officials arrested a woman Sunday for attempted murder after she allegedly fired shots at two men whose dog caused damage to her Christmas decorations.

Reports said that 28-year-old Ethel Shannon McKinney opened fire and shot one man in the upper torso and arm, while the other man was also wounded in the arm.

The shooting occurred at about 9:30 pm in the midst of an argument between the two men, McKinney and her boyfriend 34-year-old Audie Ray Crisswell. According to reports, McKinney shot the gun from inside her mobile home, and hit the men who were standing outside.

Jason Ard, a spokesman for the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Department, said that MicKinney was to be booked on two counts of attempted second-degree murder, as well as other charges.

Criswell was booked with two counts of aggravated assault, and disturbing the peace.
