A Janesville, Wisconsin woman, who had been taking care of a sick squirrel for three weeks, ended up being scratched and bitten by the ungrateful animal.

The 47-year-old woman, whose name is not released, said she found the small and sick squirrel in her window sill about three weeks ago wanted to take "care for it."

AP reports that the squirrel however bit her finger and scratched her hand when the woman tried to release the animal Friday and it got loose in her house.

The squirrel has now been sent to the Rock County Humane Society and the woman was advised to seek medical attention if she saw signs of an infection.
