After call centers and other backroom operations, India has developed a unique outsourcing service: wombs for rent. In a small clinic at Kaival Hospital in Anand, infertile couples worldwide could be matched with local Indian women who could deliver their babies at a cost of around $10,000. The fee already includes the entire procedure, including fertilization, medical expenses and the fee for the surrogate mother.

A recent poll done by ABC News disclosed some interesting wishes that adults had for Santa Claus this Christmas season. The results showed wishes that would be considered expected and usual, as well as humanitarian wishes such as love and peace. And there were some that were more than a bit unusual, such as teeth. The survey revealed that ten percent of Americans wished for a new car - a notable 6 percent decrease from the numbers gathered during the 2005 holiday season. Six percent wanted cash, reported the UPI. It ranged from "10 million dollars," "$300,000 wrapped in ribbon," to "financial security" as suggested by a Minneapolis woman who said, "I'd like to have my bills paid off. "

A 45-year-old convicted rapist was sentenced 225 years in prison for three counts of indecent exposure last year. Robert Stearns was found guilty in a jury trial earlier this year of exposing himself to three different women walking through two different Hamilton, Montana parks. Stearns was sentenced Tuesday to 75 years in prison on each of the three counts of indecent exposure, to run consecutively. "I've never seen such a harsh punishment recommended for a nonviolent crime," said Stearns' attorney James Clapp.
