Yu Zhenhuan, an aspiring Chinese rock-star with 96-percent of his body covered in hair, filed a lawsuit earlier this year against Beijing's World Carnival Company for posting his photograph without permission on its website.
Yu said the unauthorized posting had caused him to suffer from undue psychological damage.
According to a state media report on Wednesday, Yu lost his claim for 200,000 Yuan ($25,000 U.S.), but the hairy rocker will continue to seek his dream of international fame.
Yu entered the Guinness book of Records in 2002 for having 96 percent of his body covered in hair. He has recently been out-haired by a pair of Mexican brothers that boast 98 percent of their bodies are covered with hair.
The only parts of Yu's body free from hair are the palms of his hands, the bottoms of his feet, and a few small bald patches on various parts of his otherwise fury body.
Yu has placed photographs of himself in rock-star poses on several web sites in China, hoping to land a record contract. He sued the World Carnival Company for unauthorized use of his image taken during a visit to the carnival in Beijing last year.
The intermediate people's court of Beijing ruled that the photos had not been used by the carnival company to increase profits and also note that Yu had failed to show reliable evidence that the incident had caused him psychological suffering, a Xinhua news report stated on Wednesday.
