The current Guinness Book of Record world's oldest person holder, died Monday afternoon at nursing home in Fukuchi, Fukuoka Prefecture.
Yone Minagawa, born on January 4, 1893, 114-year-old died of old age. She was the oldest person since January 2005 following the death of record holder Emma Faust Tillman. After Monday, the next title of world's oldest person is U.S. national Edna Parker.
Minagawa's last years on earth were spent in a wheelchair. When she was in the peak of her health, she would spend her free time playing musical instruments.
