A bar in New Haven invites dogs and their owners to attend "Yappy Hour" once a week.

The downtown restaurant off Chapel Street called "Chow" invites dogs every Wednesday to frolic, sniff and loll on the terrace while their owners can enjoy their meals and drinks.

"I love him," Ali Parmelee, a graphic designer told NY Times, referring to Simon, a boxer-pit bull mix who was straining at his leash. "He's my little baby. I bring him everywhere just to help socialize him."

The restaurant on this particular Wednesday displayed a raffle of rubber bones and squeaky balls, bringing forth a harmony of barks and giggles.
