Two young boys have been arrested, charged with robbing a store with a squirt gun wrapped in black electrical tape.
The boys, ages 11 and 14, held up the Dollar General store in downtown Leavenworth, Kansas with a purple water gun, and were arrested only minutes later.
Police Maj. Pat Kitchens tells the Associated Press, "It's very troubling that a kid that is 11 years old can formulate the thought in their mind to do something like this."
The pair will be charged with robbery, and police say it doesn't matter that the gun wasn't made for bullets; under Kansas law a gun is a gun no matter what it shoots.
The boys are currently being held in a juvenile detention center, and there is no word on if they will be prosecuted as adults.
