A young couple from Germany got the surprise of their life when police officers gave them a toy instead of a ticket when they were flagged down for over speeding. Apparently, the officers took pity on the couple when they learned they were heading to the hospital so the woman could give birth.

Reports said that Barbara and Johann Meyer from Wachtberg, Germany were flagged down by the police after a speed camera photographed them breaking the limit. The officer gave them a ticket for speeding.

But when they told the police that they were on their way to the hospital where Barbara is scheduled to give birth to their first baby, the officer canceled the fine. Instead, they handed the Meyers a toy police officer in uniform holding a speed camera.

The police also suggested to the Meyers to put the original speeding camera image into their son's first photo album.
