Every state has different laws for recycling. It is not only the responsibility of organizations to make sure they are recycling their waste but also citizens. The law is very active in a number of U.S. states like Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, California, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Oregon, and Vermont. Most of these states offer 5 cents per bottle or can and others go up to 10 cents. The monetary reward actually plays a great role in convincing commercial organizations to do their job for the sake of recycling.
