A British bingo worker won £1 million after being given the wrong scratchcard.

Audrey White, 58 - who bought the card from a supermarket near her Suffolk home - asked for a £2 scratchcard but was given a £5 one by mistake.

Audrey, from Felixstowe, UK, said: ''I just couldn't believe it - I'm still in a state of shock.''

The bingo worker - who was facing repossession of her home - now plans to pay off her mortgage and buy a new conservatory but said she won’t let the money go to her head.

She said: ''I've got a private bank account in Mayfair. I've got my own private banker. This sort of thing doesn't happen to an assistant bingo manager.''
