Abandoned by their mother, six tiny kittens have suddenly found themselves being taken care of by an unlikely surrogate mother - a rabbit.
According veterinary nurse, Melanie Humble, 29, the bunny took the kittens after their mother left thinking her pet cat would care for them as her own.
However, Summer, her pet rabbit, assumed the motherhood responsibilities for the kittens, which immediately feel in love with their newfound mom.
The tiny kittens were left all alone after their mum decided she couldn't be bothered feeding them.
"It's amazing to see. For some reason they just took to the rabbit instantly and thought she was their mom," said Humble who hails from the City of Aberdeen. "They started climbing all over her and were looking to get milk from her. She just sat there and let them do it."
"Now they follow her everywhere. They can't bear to be without her. They're all so lovely together
