ESPN Zone sports bar has reportedly organized the Ultimate Couch Potato Contest and has found four people who are willing to compete for the title.

The winner is likely to be determined Tuesday or Wednesday and the prize is a $5,000 package including a 42 inch high definition television and a trophy.

The contestants will receive a leather recliner as long as they last 12 hours in the competition.

Contestants are allowed a five-minute break every hour and a 15-minute break every eight hours but are required to otherwise be looking constantly at the screen.

AP reports that anyone who manages to last until 8 a.m. Thursday would break the world record of 69 hours and 48 minutes of consecutive TV watching set in September 2005 by Canadian Suresh Joachim.
