When Simon Luffman paid off his wife in their divorce settlement, little did he know that the same money would be used for his own murder. The man's wife, Yvette Luffman and her new lover reportedly used $2,000 from the settlement money to get Luffman killed.

According to The Daily Mail, Luffman, 39, was killed in 2003 by Thomas Convery, who is now sentenced to life in prison. Yvette Luffman and her lover, Wayne Briscoe, were sentenced Wednesday to a minimum of 20 years in prison.

The man's wife and lover initially paid a sum of $2,000 for getting Luffman killed but prosecutors said the job ultimately cost them nearly $60,000.
