If you think Christmas is still far away, think again – Halloween comes in no time, followed by Thanksgiving in less than a month, leaving you with just a few weeks to decide what to offer your loved ones as a present. Those who do Christmas shopping for me will have an easy choice of presents – there are some video games I wish more than anything Santa’s little helper to bring me this season. Here is the short list.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

I have to admit I am a sucker for futuristic shooters. This is one of the reasons why I love Half Life but hate Counter Strike, and love Crysis but I don’t feel anything special about the Far Cry series. Futuristic is the key.

All titles in the Call of Duty franchise had – up to this point – their roots in reality. The weapons and tools used in these games were either those from the past, used by WWII troops, or modern ones used nowadays by the military forces. The new title of the series, Advanced Warfare, finally puts the bit of sci-fi in the game I so much love.

The game will be released on November 4th, on PC and all major gaming consoles.

Christmas Wishlist: Games I Expect To See In My Sock This Holiday Season

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

Another title I have been waiting for, ever since I first laid my eyes on the first part of the franchise. The twisted humor of the games, along with their slightly cartoonish, but realistic enough looks made Borderlands one of my instant favorites. Despite it being an old game (it was first released in 2007, seven years ago!) I still enjoy to play the first one, taking a walk on the barren landscapes of Pandora every once in a while.

The much anticipated pre-sequel, set in between Borderlands and Borderlands 2, will allow me to play with new characters, new weapons, and explore unseen parts of Pandora universe, as I join Handsome Jack’s team during his rise to power. The game will feature new and exciting things, like low gravity combat, no atmosphere, oxygen-powered jetpacks and new playable characters – including Claptrap the Fragtrap, for the first time in the game’s history.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be launched on October 14th, for PC, Xbox 360 and PS4. I think I won’t wait until Christmas with this one…

As you can see, finding me a gift for Christmas won’t be easy after all – I won’t be able to contain myself until the most beautiful time of the year to buy these new games and try them already. Until then… the Red Flush casino has over 500 of the best Microgaming casino games to choose from. I think I’ll try my luck there.
