  2. Class XII preparation is equally important:Also, focus on Class XII preparation from NCERT books. Ultimately, your Class 12th percentage determines whether you are eligible to appear for admission to IITs/NITs/CFTIs. The minimum required percentage to qualify in the JEE Main exam is 75%.
  3. Study every single day:Do not let go even a single day without the preparation as it will double up the number of topics the next day!
  4. Save at least 1 hour for the hobby:

    You are doing no justice to your body if you do not spend an hour on your most favorite thing each day. Spend some time playing outdoors if possible to relieve the stress.

  5. Seek guidance from experienced candidates:

    Always remember, “There’s no person wiser than an experienced one” as you get to know lots of strategies which a book can never teach you.

JEE Main 2019 Preparation: Last 45 Days

Week 1: Study the basic concepts of each section

Start-off your preparation for the JEE Main by studying the basic concepts which are covered within the first three units of the syllabus in each subject. JEE Main Examination: Work on your weak areas in the last 3 days

Do not study any fresh topics rather focus on solving questions from important topics. Do the complete revision for once and work on your weak areas. Also, revise all the formulas and take a quick look at all the notes prepared by you.

JEE Main Preparation for Droppers & Class XII Board Examinees

Students appearing in Class XII Board Exams

Study in 3 shifts every day:

Paper-I will include questions from 3 subjects including Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. The best thing you can do is a study in three different shifts after school. On an average, a student appearing for both Class XII board & JEE Main spend 2 hours in coaching or taking tuitions. Therefore, you have roughly 5-6 hours left before you go for a good night sleep.

Spend 1 Hour on each subject daily (excluding coaching hours):

Sounds a bit tough! Considering preparation for both the competitive examinations, spending an hour on each subject is the most efficient and consistent strategy.

Dedicate your most inactive hour to Mathematics:

Prefer studying Mathematics in the last shift of the day. This is because it takes the least concentration of yours among the three subjects.

Study your weak subjects at your most energetic hour:

In case you are weak in Chemistry or Physics, it is recommended to focus on these subjects at the time when your concentration level is maximum.

For droppers (students who take a year break for the preparation after Class XII board exams)

You are certainly at a slight advantage of cracking the JEE Main Exam if you have taken a year-long break. It leaves you ample amount of time to do the preparation plus you do not have to focus on Class XII board preparation.

Dedicate 2.5 hours to each subject daily:

As you are not going to school any longer, it gives you lots of time to invest in JEE exam preparation. Make sure you find at least 2.5 hours for each subject on a regular basis.

A study from NCERT books to strengthen your basics:

The only disadvantage a school passed-out faces is that he is not in touch with the NCERT books. Studying from an NCERT book helps you improve your grip over the subject.

Do not get distracted from your goal:

It is usually seen that the droppers are prone to get distracted as compared to school-goers. Stay in good company and talk to people who can guide you during the preparation.
